Wood stock and the mags are NOT interchangeable....

I love "burp" guns. A PPSH is all i roll with on COD5. Nice.

AD, what is a fair price point for that weapon in that condition?
Also, that appears to be a top-folding stock; is it?

They're in the $700 range and chambered in either 9mm or 7.62x25 - your choice. The only place I know that sells 'em is Military Gun Supply.

There's a carbine model (longer barrel & workable stock) and a pistol model (welded stock). I'd have to get mine classified as an SBR and pay for a $200 tax stamp to legally unweld my stock so it'll unfold again.

Cheers,

TAD,
I'd LOVE to know how this one works out. I've been wanting a PPS-43 for a couple of years. But MGS has had some design issues.

Of course they have a lifetime warranty, so you are covered. But this is their third design. Hopefully this has resolved all their issues.

Once you've taken it to the range, let me have a range report. I really want to purchase a PPS-43, but really don't want to have to send it back for them to fix yet another bad design flaw, get that fix approved by the BATFE and THEN get my firearm back.

Drop me an email once you can give us a range report. Oh, and stock up now on mags and ammo. I'm pretty sure they will all be gone PDQ.

Will do once my 1224-rnd tin comes to my doorstep. IN the meantime here's another pic with extra mags, sling, and cleaning kit that came in today !

Thanks to Allegheny Arsenal for sending me quality PPS-43 parts.

That thing looks rather difficult to handle. I understand it can't have a pistol grip added and I suppose you could hang onto the mag well but it appears to need the equivalent of a shotgun forend. I'm hoping that it is counter weighted to the handle or do you just rely on the repeating recoil to keep the muzzle up and your wrist from breaking?

Edit: I'm supposing the area between the trigger guard and the mag well is for your off hand? Again, a forend would keep heat from transferring to your hand. Also, I would fear the possibility of a moving part (charging handle?) grabbing flesh.

And here's a PPSh-41 which was the earlier model but still gives you an idea.

Cool, so you are supposed to hold the mag well. I was surprised to see what appeared to be as much recoil from the blanks as the guy shooting live rounds (I assume) in the snow.
